Wolfpack roll behind 10 event wins in Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational JeffT. Benson Sports Ed tor, jbenson@ncppub.com Twitter: @JeffTBenson SlBLEY -- Western Christian took charge in the field of seven teams at the April 29 Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational, winning 10 of the 19 events to sweep the girl's team competition. "This was overall our best performance of the season:' said Wolfpack girls' coach Dan Kroeze. "This was a fun meet for the girls, it really moved along well. We had a number of 1-2 finishes and that says a lot about the competitiveness of these girls:' The Western Christian boys took third, 10-1/2 points back of runner-up Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley (106.5-96). Both squads fell well off the pace of team champion Okoboji's dominant performance, amassing 178 points for the runaway meet crown. The Wolfpack boys had just three event wins. The Wolfpack girls came out of the field events without a win. Its best performance was a second-place finish in the shot put with Kelsey Meyer's throw of 33-feet, 3 inches.
